Using the Library
Managing your day to day interactions with the Library can be made much easier with a variety of online Library services:
Loans- keep track of your loans, fines and due dates, plus renew items you have borrowed online using Your Borrower Record, accessible via the Library’s homepage and the Catalogue

- MyCourse materials such as course readings, DVDs & CDs are located on Level 2 of the Main Library. Smaller Reserve collections are located at COFA and the Freehills Law Library
- book media booths via the Catalogue to watch DVDs & videos and listen to CDs
- Login to MySpace to create sets of your favourite resources, including databases and e-journals, save Sirius searches and set up search alerts
- Metasearch lets you search multiple databases at once. Save these results to your MySpace eShelf. Login using your Student ID and UniPass
- if you have problems accessing any of our resources while
off-campus, visit the Library’s Access Requirements page - the Access Requirements page advises you on recommended settings, including web browsers, security software and firewalls
Staying in touch
- you can be notified when the Library receives new books on topics in your areas of interest by subscribing to an RSS Feed
- to set up an RSS Feed visit the New Additions to the Library Collection page
- download a UNSW Library Toolbar to your Firefox browser
- use the toolbar to search the Catalogue, MyCourse and Google Scholar
- go to Scholar Preferences to select UNSW Library as your Library Link
- connect to full text via the Findit@UNSW links where available
